PLOT

Yoon Shi-Yeon (Kim Tae Hee đóng) là một hồ ly 9 đuôi - một chủng loài bí mật tồn tại cùng thời với con người, loài này chỉ sống được khi được ăn lá gan của con người (không biết trong thế giới hiện thực này có ko ha ). Trong thế giới con người, Shi Yeon cũng bình thường như bao người khác, ban ngày cô làm việc tại viện bảo tàng lịch sử nhân loại, tối đến thì cô làm việc cho tổ chức bí mật của hồ ly 9 đuôi. Shi Yeon trở thành trẻ mồ côi vào ngày sinh nhật thứ 12 của mình. Cái ngày định mệnh ấy không chỉ cướp đi người thân của Shi Yeon mà còn lấy đi người con trai mà cô yêu nhất là Hyun Soo. Cũng từ đó mà cuộc đời của Shi Yeon đã chuyển sang một bước ngoặt lớn. Chính nhờ sự giải cứu kịp thời của trưởng lão bộ tộc hồ ly 9 đuôi mà Shi Yeon mới có thể sống đến hiện nay ( năm nay cô đã 26 tuổi) và cô đã trở thành 1 trong 5 hộ pháp của trưởng lão. Vào một đêm trăng sáng trong khi thi hành nhiệm vụ tiêu diệt tổ chức mua bán nội tạng - tổ chức này do bọn phản đồ trong tộc lập ra, Shi Yeon đã gặp Min Woo - 1 thám tử của cục cảnh sát hình sự cũng đang điều tra về tổ chức buôn nội tạng này. Theo nghĩa vụ của bản thân Shi Yeon buộc phải giết hết những người có liên quan đến nhiệm vụ của cô trong đó có Min Woo -người đã vô tình chứng kiến cô giết người. Thế nhưng vào giây phút định mệnh Shi Yeon sắp giết Min Woo thì cô lại thấy sợi dây chuyền định tình mà cô đã tặng cho người yêu thuở nhỏ Hyun Sô của mình đang hiện diện trên cổ Min Woo và cô đã tha cho anh đi để tìm hiểu thêm về con người anh. Và cũng chính từ hành động bất thường đó của mình đã đem đến cho cô bao rắc rối và có lẽ là liên quan đến cả tính mạng của cô cùng với sự diệt vong của cả bộ tộc hồ ly 9 đuôi.
Sau khi thoát khỏi lưỡi hái tử thần, Min Woo càng muốn điều tra rõ hơn về tổ chức buôn nội tạng này và cả về tổ chức bí mật đã từng muốn giết anh nhưng ko thành công kia. Trong khi tìm hiểu về tổ chức ấy Min Woo đã gặp và yêu Shi Yeon vì trông cô có những nét quen thuộc của người yêu bé nhỏ Hae In ( tên lúc nhỏ của Shi Yeon). Nhưng tình cảm của anh lại ko nhận được sự hồi đáp của Shi Yeon ( vì Min Woo chính là kẻ thù của bộ tộc của Shi Yeon mà). Việc điều tra của anh càng lúc càng nguy hiểm vì lúc nào cũng chịu sự ám sát từ bộ tộc hồ ly 9 đuôi ( mà cụ thể là từ Shi Yeon) buộc anh phải gia nhập vào tổ chức đối đầu với bộ tộc Shi Yeon. ( Phim đến đây càng lúc càng rắc rối)......
